Anyone can talk about craftsmanship. Seeing a tired 1920s bungalow window come out and a clean, square, properly flashed replacement go in tells you more in five seconds than a brochure does in five pages. Here are a few of the transformations our crews have completed around Pasadena, Altadena, San Marino, and South Pasadena. No stock photos, no borrowed portfolio work. This is what we actually do, opening by opening, and it all carries the 365-Day Done Right Promise.

Recent Transformations
Whole-Home Window Replacement, Craftsman Bungalow, Bungalow Heaven
Before
AfterThe original double-hung windows were original to the 1923 build, and the sashes had been painted shut through forty years of landlord-grade upkeep. We pulled every opening, corrected the rough framing in two spots where the old growth redwood had started to sag, and installed new double-hung units from ES Windows with simulated divided lites to keep the street-facing character intact. The result is an old house that finally opens, closes, and locks, with glass that cuts the afternoon heat coming off the San Gabriels without making the living room feel like a museum.
Picture Window Replacement, Mid-Century Ranch, Linda Vista
Before
AfterThe homeowner had a 10-foot picture window facing the Arroyo that had lost its seal years ago. Permanent fog between the panes, condensation every January morning, and a view that looked like it was behind wax paper. We replaced it with a ViewLux fixed unit, Low-E glass, and a heavier frame that actually carries the roof load the way the original never did. When the crew pulled the old unit, we found the original 1958 install had no flashing at the sill. None. The new window got a full sill pan, taped corners, and backer rod before the trim went back on. That room finally feels like it was built to look at the hills.
Door Installation: Craftsman Front Entry, Historic Highlands
Before
AfterThe original front door had been replaced at some point with a hollow-core builder special, the kind of thing that belongs on a supply closet, not a 1911 house with real stone columns. We measured the existing opening, matched the surrounding trim profile, and installed a solid Therma-Tru entry door with a craftsman panel layout, new mortise-style hardware, and a full weather seal system. The C.A.R.E. values were in play the entire day. We asked before popping the interior casing so we could shim, we kept the walkway clear so the family’s dogs could still get to the backyard, and drop cloths ran from the curb to the foyer. The door shuts with a sound you feel in your chest, the way a front door should in a neighborhood like this.
Sliding Glass Door Installation, Spanish Colonial, San Rafael Heights

The old aluminum slider had a track so warped that you had to lift the door and lean into it to get it to move, and the rollers had disintegrated to the point of grinding metal on metal. It also let air through so freely that the kitchen was five degrees colder than the rest of the house every winter. We swapped it for a new multi-slide patio door from CWS with stainless rollers, brushed hardware, and a screen that actually works. The job required cutting back the stucco on one side to square the opening, then refinishing the exterior of the wall. The indoor-outdoor flow from the dining room to the back patio is the best part of that property now, and it made a huge difference at the open house six months later.
Vinyl-to-Wood-Look Window Swap, Traditional Two-Story, Hastings Ranch

Someone in the late 1990s had installed white vinyl windows that were now chalky, yellowed, and drafty at every sash seal. The homeowners wanted the look of wood without the maintenance burden. We installed a full set of ECO Window Systems units with a wood-look interior finish and a thermally broken exterior. Second-story work is never casual, and every window went in with proper fall protection for the crew and dust protection for the furniture below. The neighbors have asked twice who did the windows, which is about as good a review as a contractor can get in Hastings Ranch.
Bedroom Window Replacement for Noise Reduction, Condo, Playhouse District

Living in the Playhouse District means being close to everything, and it also means hearing everything. The bedroom faced Colorado Boulevard, and the single original window was doing nothing to stop the delivery truck roar at 5:30 a.m. We replaced it with a dual-pane unit from PGT with laminated glass rated for sound reduction. The difference was immediate and obvious. The homeowners told us their first night was the first time they’d slept through a trash pickup in three years. For a job like this, the details matter: we picked a product with the right glass package for the specific frequency range, pulled the old casing without tearing the plaster, and worked quietly enough that their toddler napped through most of the install. That is the kind of job where the C.A.R.E. values are not a slogan. They’re the actual work.
