A light well is what brings daylight deep into a building. That is what a well-installed window should do for your home, and it’s the standard that guides every person who works under the Lightwell Windows Pasadena name. We are a small, local crew. We know Pasadena’s bungalows from San Rafael to Bungalow Heaven, and we know what happens to old wood sashes after forty summers of San Gabriel Valley heat. No rotating subcontractors, no mystery crew. The people who measure your windows are the people who install them.

Our People
Keith Yamada, Owner
Keith has been running window and door installations in the Pasadena area since before Lightwell joined the Cedarwell network in 2010. He is the one who walks the job first, notes the stucco condition, checks how far the existing frame has settled, and tells you straight whether a retrofit makes sense or a full-frame replacement is the honest answer. He has spent enough hours with PGT, CGI, ES Windows, and Therma-Tru products to know which ones misbehave in certain wall conditions. He will tell you about the time a certain coastal-rated window gave him trouble in a Craftsman on Marengo until he figured out the flashing sequence was fighting the original sill design. He does not rush. He wants the light to land right, and he wants the invoice to match the written price, every time.
Marcus D., Lead Technician
Marcus has been on the install side for over a dozen years, most of them in older Pasadena homes where nothing is square and the plaster has opinions. He leads most full-frame window replacements and is the one who decides whether a rough opening needs a carpenter’s attention before a window goes in. He is certified in lead-safe work practices, which matters on pre-1978 homes all around Pasadena. Marcus is particular about trim. If a reveal is off by an eighth of an inch, he will fix it before he moves to the next window. Outside of work, he restores mid-century furniture, which explains why his miters are the way they are.
Elena R., Senior Installer
Elena came to window work from finish carpentry, and it shows in the door installations she handles for the crew. She has installed countless Therma-Tru and ViewLux entry doors across Altadena, San Marino, and South Pasadena, and she is the one who makes sure a new door swings true and seals tight on all three sides. She is also our lead on ES Windows and ECO Window Systems projects, products that demand patient glazing and precise shimming. Elena keeps the quiet-tool protocol running on every job site. She is the reason we run foam cutters and low-decibel drivers during nap hours, and she will ask before she moves so much as a potted plant on a sill. Her dog, a very spoiled Australian shepherd named Miso, comes up in conversation roughly once per project.
Sam T., Service Coordinator and Apprentice Installer
Sam is the voice on the phone more often than not. He coordinates schedules, confirms arrival windows, and walks homeowners through what to expect on install day, including which rooms will be dusty and which will not. He has been on the tools for nearly three years now, splitting time between the office and the truck, and he is working toward lead installer. Sam is the one who photographs the clean-up before the crew leaves, a standing rule on every Lightwell job. He is also the one who lays down drop cloths and shoe covers at the door while the rest of the crew unloads. If you call (626) 628-2308 and get a real human at 10 p.m., that is usually Sam, and he will get your message to the right person before morning.
One Standard, Every Job
Every crew member follows the same C.A.R.E. values, spelled out and stamped on every job we take. C: Clean up like it is our own home. That means drop cloths before ladders go up, shoe covers at every threshold, and a photo of the finished clean-up before the crew pulls away. A: Ask before we move or touch anything. R: Respect the family’s time and quiet hours, which is why we run quiet tools during nap time and keep radio volume down unless you tell us otherwise. E: Explain the price before the work, in writing, with no surprises at the end. The 365-Day Done Right Promise backs all of it. If the finished work is not right, we make it right. No debate, no countdown. And because we are an independent Cedarwell location, that standard holds whether we are replacing one window in a Pasadena condo or ten in a hillside home.
